Now, let’s get down to business. Here’s where things stand: Right now, the U.S. Senate is our last line of defense on so many issues that matter to Americans. Analysts at FiveThirtyEight recently said that Mitch McConnell and the GOP have "a clear path" to retaking the Senate majority next year, so we need to roll up our sleeves and get to work. It’s up to you and me to do everything in our power to make sure that doesn’t happen.

As the only Democrat elected statewide in Ohio, I know what it takes to run a tough race -- and that’s grassroots supporters like you. I can’t protect this seat and our Senate majority without your support.
