John, I have exciting news.
The Biden administration announced a new proposal that would expand options for affordable healthcare regardless of immigration status.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients will be eligible for health care enrollment under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) under the President's proposed rule change!
This would bring the promise of long-awaited access to affordable healthcare for the approximately 643,560 DACA recipients.
John, we have a long way to go before this policy takes effect. But this first step is one of many ways Democrats are delivering on the promise of a better America for ALL, regardless of who you are or where you're from. Can you join us in creating a healthier America by donating to our grassroots movement today? [[link removed]]

This means the world to me, John.
I'm the daughter of working-class Guatemalan immigrants. My mother crossed the border while pregnant with me—both of my parents worked day in and day out at multiple jobs to give my siblings and I a chance to succeed.
My own husband, Boris, is a DACA recipient among thousands of hardworking people serving as teachers, health care workers, parents and community volunteers.
I've seen firsthand how much social services can make a difference in easing the burden, and found my life's calling fighting for the people just struggling to survive.
I took these experiences to my work in the Illinois House of Representatives. There, I led the now-enacted state legislation to make Illinois the first state to provide Medicaid regardless of immigration status. In Congress, I am bringing this dedication to continuously fight for the Dreamers and immigrants that have always changed our country for the better.
John, I'm committed to being a voice for people like my parents and countless others just trying to make a better life. I've gotten this far, but only with your support. Can you help me continue fighting for Dreamers in 2024 and beyond by donating today? [[link removed]]
