[ [link removed] ]Fox News must be held accountable. Tell corporations to Stop Funding
Fox!

Dear MoveOn member,

This could be the moment when Fox News is finally held accountable for
pushing lies and misinformation onto the American public.

The historic trial for the $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox
News starts today. Dominion Voting Systems is suing Fox News for knowingly
lying on-air, pushing the unsubstantiated conspiracy theory that the
company’s voting machines impacted the 2020 election results, all to boost
Fox's profits and ratings.^1

Exposing Fox News isn't just about their already tarnished reputation—if
Fox News is going to stop damaging our democracy, corporations must stop
giving them the funds to broadcast their misinformation. It's time for Fox
News' corporate advertisers and cable companies—like Subway, AT&T, GM, and
Comcast— to stop funding the network through any new advertising and
increased cable fees.^2

Every dollar given to Fox News for advertising and cable fees funds the
dangerous rhetoric and conspiracies that they blast on air. Enough is
enough. Fox News must be held accountable, and it’s time for corporations
to stop pursuing business with them. Our message is clear: Stop Funding
Fox.

to see all the ways you can take action to hold Fox News accountable for
their dangerous lies!

Over the coming weeks, more details of Fox News’ attempts to undermine the
2020 election will be exposed, and there’s a chance companies will stop
making deals with the right-wing network when it’s time to book new ads.
But this will happen only if a mass movement of people says "Stop Funding
Fox!"

Fox “News” is a right-wing, racist propaganda machine. They spread lies
and divide our nation. Through QAnon conspiracy theories; anti-vaccine
rhetoric; attacks on immigrants, people of color, and the LGBTQ+
community; efforts to undermine the 2020 election and rewrite the history
of January 6; and more, Fox News has shown the lengths they’ll go to
undermine our democracy and advance their right-wing agenda.

Despite Fox News promoting lies to push its agenda,^3 advertisers still
find it profitable to do business with Fox. But because of this trial, Fox
News’ image will be majorly tarnished, and this is an opportunity to
demand that advertisers change course and decide to stop doing business
with Fox. In just a couple of weeks, these corporate advertisers will be
striking new deals with Fox News for the next year.^4 AT&T, Subway, and GM
have a choice to stop future advertising deals with Fox News or to
continue funding the hate and lies that undermine our democracy.^5,6 These
corporations want to be seen as respectful, trustworthy brands, but no
company can both enable Fox News' bottom line and be a trusted brand. It's
up to us to push them to do the right thing—stop funding Fox!

[ [link removed] ]Learn more and take action here—you can sign a petition, contact Fox
News’ advertisers, and call your cable company! It’s time corporations
stop enabling Fox News’ lies, hate, and bigotry.

Thanks for all you do.
