Team — George Santos is a liar, a fraud, and an insult to our democracy. And yesterday, he announced he is running for re-election.

It’s ridiculous that George Santos continues to serve in Congress, receiving a paycheck and accessing our nation’s top-secret information. He doesn’t care about New Yorkers. He’s not contributing in Congress or working to deliver results — and now he’s running for re-election.

We’ve all heard the stories about Santos: the volleyball team he never played on, the knee replacement he never had, the name that isn’t even his, and that really weird story about being mugged. We’ve had our fair share of laughs over the absurdity of it all. But, before Santos was making national headlines for being arguably the biggest liar in the GOP caucus (and there's some serious competition for that label), he was wining and dining with white nationalists and nazi sympathizers while shamefully lying about his own family fleeing the atrocities of the Holocaust.

Pat has been very clear from the start about the dangerous beliefs and company that George Santos keeps.

Unfortunately, our politics are so broken that despite all of this, George Santos is still receiving support from Elise Stefanik and Kevin McCarthy, who would rather preserve their narrow House majority than actually do right by hundreds of thousands of New York voters. It’s a disgrace.

Team Pat Ryan is going to do whatever it takes to ensure George Santos doesn’t have the chance to serve another term in Congress. It’s not about partisanship, it’s about duty, honor, and service to our country, the values Pat learned at West Point.
