As we reach Kevin McCarthy’s 100-day mark as Leader, Democrats need to recognize what a disaster Republicans’ control of the House has been for hardworking Americans. We need to start fighting NOW to flip the House blue in 2024 so we can get back to work as the majority party. 

Right now, everyone in the House is bracing for a soul-defining battle with the most extreme fringes of the Republican party over the debt ceiling. If Republicans successfully hold the debt ceiling hostage, it will have disastrous, cascading effects for our families, from seniors potentially losing their pensions to government services shutting down.

Democrats need to start organizing now so we can work to undo the disastrous McCarthy policies and start passing legislation to support union members, make health care more affordable, and so much more that the GOP continues to obstruct.
