ACTION ALERT

Alert! Save Women’s Sports Bill Needs a Hearing in the Texas House

The Save Women’s Sports Bill, Senate Bill (S.B.) 15, received early success with a powerful hearing in March with testimony from NCAA Swimmer Riley Gaines, Olympic Swimmer Jeri Shanteau, and female powerlifter Jade Dickens. SB 15 passed out of the Texas Senate 19-10 and has now been referred to the Texas House Higher Education Committee.

But, SB 15 has yet to be scheduled for a hearing in the Texas House and time is running out! SB 15 needs to be heard in the Texas House soon so that it can receive a floor vote in time to meet important deadlines.

Also, the Biden Administration’s U.S. Department of Education has released a dangerous rule proposal that would require female athletes to prove why men should not be in their sports by completing a 2-part test. The Department of Education is also saying that they plan to oppose all state laws that protect women’s sports.

This rule could become national policy this year!

We must finish the work this session and pass a law to protect women college athletes!

Here is how you can take action and help SB 15 become law
