Florida Republicans just keep doing absolutely ridiculous things!
Recently, Florida AG Ashley Moody urged the Florida Supreme Court to reject and ignore more than 30 years of legal precedents that have protected abortion rights in the state, and instead uphold the state’s abortion ban. She’s arguing that the privacy clause in Florida’s Constitution doesn’t protect abortion rights — a dangerous argument to support Ron DeSantis’ push for an abortion ban.
The scary thing is, it’s not just Florida. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, conservative-led states across the country have been trying to outdo each other with who can pass the most restrictive abortion laws in the country.
