We’re launching a new campaign strategy to take on the corporate behemoths from the insurance, pharmaceutical, and hospital industries. And our next National Strategy Call — where we’ll go over all the details — is coming up. Please read more about this crisis below, and then RSVP here: |
America’s health care system is broken. Really broken. And all it takes to see that is a quick look at these two charts:
Here’s how much the U.S. spends on health care vs. the rest of the world.

And here’s how our life expectancy rates stack up.

See the problem? The vast majority of our money — via co-pays, premiums, $300 insulin shots, and $1,000 ambulance rides — is being hoarded by executives at pharmaceutical and insurance companies. All while 28 million people are left without insurance at all.
As long as our current, profit-driven health care system remains, this issue will never be resolved. That’s why we’re launching a brand new phase of the Medicare for All campaign to take on the corporate juggernauts who hope to maintain this deadly status quo.
We can’t dive into all the details just yet. But you should know that this will be an incredibly rewarding (and challenging!) fight.
These groups have millions upon millions upon millions of dollars to throw around. But we’ve seen first hand that when enough people band together — whether it’s a social movement, supporting a candidate for election, or putting pressure on Congress — we can out-organize big money any day of the week.
Thank you for all that you do. Now let’s get to work.
In solidarity,
The Nurses’ Campaign to Win Medicare for All
