Exploring the Well-Being of Hispanic Children and Families During the Pandemic 
Research Highlights Benefits of High Quality ECE During CrisisesIn a recent study, Start Early researchers took a strengths-based approach to examine changes in the well-being of Hispanic children and families enrolled in Early/Head Start programs before and during the pandemic.

In contrast with other ECE research and the mostly bleak narratives circulating in the media about the negative effects of the pandemic on child and family well-being, results from this study found that Hispanic children and families demonstrated a variety of social-emotional related strengths.


As the Hispanic population in the U.S. continues to grow, so does the need for additional research and understanding about the implications of this population shift, specifically the importance of early childhood education.
