I’m reaching out to ask you to make a $5 donation to my re-election campaign. National Republicans just launched a fresh wave of attacks against me, so I hope you’ll let me elaborate more on why today's request is so important.

Last month, we got word that national Republicans added IL-17 to their list of offensive targets in 2024. Since we won this seat with just 51.8% of the vote, they are already laying the groundwork to defeat me.

A huge piece of their strategy includes a near-constant barrage of negative attacks in the media. By our count, they've already done eight press hits against us, including for my vote to block their sham energy bill, which was really just a giveaway to the fossil fuel industry and corporate polluters.

I'm not surprised by these smears, and frankly, this changes absolutely nothing about my commitment to expanding renewable energy and protecting our environment. However, it’s clear they're working overtime to defeat me, and attacks like these can’t go unchecked:
