Republican politicians like Hawley had no problem spending trillions on subsidies, bailouts, and tax breaks for Wall Street, Big Tech, and Big Oil — all the industries responsible for stripping our communities for parts. But now, when it comes to fulfilling their promise to working Americans, they squabble over every penny.
