John, quite a few things have taken place since the last newsletter. 

Here’s just a bit of what I’m focusing my efforts on.

I joined Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo to discuss the need to re-shore our mineral supply chain.

On the national security front, one of the first things we need to do is change China’s status as a “third-world country” to prevent them from receiving trade and tax benefits. Then, we need to bring our critical supply chain back home to America.

Senate Democrats are fighting House conservatives on this front.

Sign the petition to tell Democrats you want to strengthen America’s national security efforts and protect our critical mineral supply chain.

I believe parents deserve to know: 

• If their child is being harassed, hazed, or engaging in cyberbullying.
• About their student’s mental health and instances of self-harm. 
• If their child’s using drugs or any other controlled substances.
• If their child has an eating disorder.
• If a child – any child – brings a weapon into the school

Parents are often left in the dark when they should be continually informed about what’s taking place at their child’s school.

I’m proud to say I added two amendments to the Parents’ Bill of Rights.

1. Prevents schools from using NDAs to keep parents in the dark about what’s taking place at their child’s school.
2. Every time a child’s mental health is in question, their parent is immediately notified.

Our schools need MORE parental involvement, not less.

I voted in support of the Parents Bill of Rights because there should be no secrets between students and teachers. 

Parents have every right to know what their child is learning in the classroom, and a teacher’s curriculum should be made public.

I had the opportunity to tour the Vietnam Veterans of America Facility in Macomb County.

This facility provides all kinds of fresh milk, eggs, and even meat for our veterans. They’re handing out REAL food for REAL people.

John, this the largest food pantry in Macomb County, and it’s run entirely by supporters and volunteers.

I’m incredibly proud of H.R. 1, the GOP’s response to Joe Biden’s Green New Deal agenda. We’re keeping our Commitment to America and pursuing policies that lower prices at the pump and the grocery store. 

The bill included my amendment, which requires the federal government to identify ways to bolster the production of minerals here at home instead of relying on our adversaries.
