New York Residents Allegedly Run Chinese Police Station in NYThe station, operated by China’s Ministry of Public Security, was set up in February 2022 on the third floor of a building in Chinatown.  This is just one of more than 100 Chinese police stations set up in major cities around the world.  The operation called Operation Fox Hunt/Operation Sky Net, was started in 2014.  Not only is this an effort to reign in dissent by Chinese citizens abroad, repatriate them to China and intimidate their families, it is a blatant violation of national sovereignty.  More broadly, and most importantly, this is just part of an elaborate network established across the United States by the CCP over the past two decades to influence and undermine America. Congressional Leaders Announce Committee Consideration of Bold Proposal to End Border Crisis, Reduce Illegal Immigration - Thankfully, Congressional leaders answered the call and unveiled the Border Security and Enforcement Act of 2023 for committee consideration later this week, agreeing that the policies it contains are necessary to combat the chaos unleashed by the Biden administration on our borders. While this key component of an eventual flagship package had been previously announced and rescheduled in committee several times, it was not weakened or watered down, and is slated to include all the anticipated proposals in line with our coalition’s roadmap. McCarthy tells Wall Street House GOP will vote to raise debt ceiling but tied to spending cuts - House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is right to call for reining in federal spending and the unchecked power of the woke and weaponized federal bureaucracy as a condition for raising the debt ceiling. Lawmakers should demand spending caps, pro-growth deregulatory policies, pulling back unspent COVID money, restoring work requirements for welfare programs and more. Without these common-sense reforms, our nation is heading towards economic and societal catastrophe. Biden’s reckless expansion of government and federal spending threatens to keep the inflation tax high forever while collapsing the US dollar and our banking system. There is only one way to protect our nation and reclaim prosperity: cut federal spending and reduce the size and scope of the government. Heritage Expert: Richard Stern and EJ Antoni

This disturbing thing about Pentagon leaks should scare the hell out of us - Intelligence can be accurate, but outdated. That could well be the case with some of these documents. Intelligence can also be malleable. These documents lack a chain-of-custody. They may be subtly doctored or outright manufactured. We don’t know what might have been added, left out or changed from the instant they were leaked. It is still unclear how they proliferated and came to everyone’s attention. The 4-Point Game Plan for a Conservative President To Dismantle the Deep State That Undermined Trump - The incoming president struggled to keep his promises to the American people, facing stiff headwinds from a hostile federal bureaucracy Trump often referred to as “the deep state.” The project aims to equip an incoming conservative president with policies to rein in this bureaucracy. Vought encourages some changes to the Executive Office of the President of the United States—notably the elimination of the pro-abortion and pro-transgender Gender Policy Council—but the bulk of recommendations for combatting the deep state appear in the report on “Central Personnel Agencies: Managing the Bureaucracy.” Paul Dans, former chief of staff at the Office of Personnel Management under Trump and director of Project 2025 at The Heritage Foundation, co-wrote the report with Ronald Reagan-era OPM Director Donald Devine and Trump-era OPM staffer Dennis Dean Kirk, Project 2025’s associate director for personnel policy. Navy’s Next Destroyer Is Vital as U.S.–China Tensions Escalate - The Navy needs a DDG(X) this decade, and the shipbuilding industry is already pressed to meet existing demands. Key action is needed now to send industry a predictable signal of commitment to build the DDG(X) this decade. If Congress and the Navy can agree to it, significant investments today can enable necessary capital investments to grow shipyard capacities and workforce while delivering the ships needed. A design anchored in existing and proven systems can mitigate much risk inherent in any new warship. Heritage Expert: Brent Salder

Tens of millions of seniors stand to lose full Medicare coverage under Biden’s budget - Medicare’s hospitalization trust fund is on the fast track to insolvency. There is a way to ultimately solve the problem of entitlements like Medicare, but the president’s budget isn’t it. Heritage Expert: EJ Antoni

China’s Stateside ‘Rent-A-Womb - In China, decades of a strict “one child” policy have produced an aging population, with many citizens past childbearing age. Yet China bans all forms of surrogacy. What’s an infertile couple wanting children — or men wishing to become fathers but unable to find a willing female partner — to do? Many turn to American surrogates as the solution. Chinese leaders have no problem with that. Increasingly, Chinese nationals are using American surrogates to bear their children. Thanks to in vitro fertilization, they don’t even need to leave China. Americans Will Rally in Texas, Demand Lawmakers Act to Secure Southern Border - The goal of the rally is “to push the Texas legislature and the Texas governor into action,” Meckler says, since President Joe Biden and his Department of Homeland Security have failed to act to secure the U.S.-Mexico border. The event, which aims to draw 50,000 attendees, is called “How Many More?” and seeks to bring attention to the humanitarian crisis at the southern border.“How many more people have to die of fentanyl poisoning in the United States of America before we actually take this seriously?,” Meckler says on the podcast. “How many more dead migrants do ranchers in Texas have to find on their ranches? … How many more people have to die in cartel violence? How many more young girls and young women have to be sold into sexual slavery? How many women have to be raped on their transit through Central and South America and into the United States?” Heritage Expert: Virginia Allen
