Williams Weekly
Dear Texans,
Last week the House was in its second week of April recess, but my work in D.C. and at home in TX-25 did not stop. Read more about my week working for the people of Texas’ 25th District below:
Biden Proposes Extreme Leftist Emissions Standards
While the members of the House of Representatives were visiting their districts, President Biden announced the most stringent federal vehicle emissions standard in history. This Administration continues to push woke, extreme leftist environmental policies down the throats of Americans that do nothing but increase costs. House Republicans are committed to holding the Administration accountable and putting a stop to the continued attacks on Americans pocketbooks. Read my statement below.
Willow Park City Hall Flag Presentation
I had the honor of presenting a flag to the Willow Park City Council in celebration of their new City Hall. I am excited to see the great work that will be done at this facility for years to come to benefit the community.
East Parker County Chamber Luncheon
It was great to join the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce at their luncheon to provide an update on my work in Washington, meet with local leaders, and answer questions from community members.
Tarrant County Bankers Association
Reckless government spending and Biden’s failed policies have weakened our economy and put small businesses at risk. I had the opportunity to speak to the Tarrant County Bankers Association at their monthly luncheon to give an update on what’s happening in the House Financial Committee and discuss the impact ongoing banking issues are having on Main Street.
Dr. Mayfield Naming Ceremony of Tarleton's School of Engineering
I had the honor of delivering remarks at the naming ceremony for Tarleton State University’s new School of Engineering after my friend of over 50 years, Dr. Dwain Mayfield. This was a historic occasion, marking the first time Tarleton has named an academic college for an individual. I am confident Dwain’s name on full display on campus will inspire the next generation of thought leaders, high achievers, and visionaries. His involvement with Tarleton and the Texas A&M system is extensive, and there is no one more deserving of this great honor.
In God we trust,
Roger Williams
