Hey y’all, it's Tim Scott. I wanted to pass along this picture of Artis Ware, aka my Grandaddy.

My Grandaddy grew up a poor South Carolina cotton farmer in the Great Depression. He never learned to read because he had to drop out of school in the third grade. He loved watching wrestling with his grandsons and his garden was his happy place. He lived long enough to see his grandson become elected to the U.S. House and Senate.

He lived long enough to see his wildest dreams become a reality. Our family went from cotton to Congress in one lifetime!

When I was a kid, after my parents split, we moved in with my grandparents. Growing up so close with my grandfather is one of the greatest gifts I’ve been so blessed to receive.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that I would not be on this path if it hadn't been for men like Artis Ware. Thanks to my Grandaddy, I find it impossible to see myself as any sort of victim. In the face of pure defeat, he was a man who never gave up and every time I find myself in such a place, I just remember my Grandaddy. Grandaddy and I are seeds who refuse to die.

I only wish he was here to see what his grandson is up to now. I just

launched my Presidential Exploratory Committee, and now I need your help more than ever.

Families like mine deserve better than Joe Biden’s failed leadership. Because parents should have a say in their children’s education. Because we must protect the right to life. Because we need a secure and safe border. I’m exploring a run for President because we need to restore faith in America and protect the American Dream for all.

It’s not easy for me to ask for money, and I wouldn’t do it if it weren’t so serious, but if we can’t hit the ground running for 2024, it will be over before it even starts.

Please consider giving just $5, so I can keep fighting to restore the American Dream and help put this great country that my Grandaddy loved so much back on track.

God Bless,

Tim Scott

John, I just launched my Presidential Exploratory Committee, and I couldn’t be more excited to hit the ground and listen to more Americans about their concerns, worries, fears, and priorities.

But the truth is, accomplishing our goal isn’t cheap.

So today, I’m humbly asking if you could please chip in $5, $10, $25, or anything you can afford to help my team and I keep trying to restore FAITH in America. I believe our best days are ahead of us, but I can’t do this alone. Are you with me?

I’M WITH TIM SCOTT

I was raised in a single-parent household in North Charleston, South Carolina. My mom worked 16-hour days to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads. I got my first job, changing oil at a gas station, when I was 13. I understand the value of a dollar.

I don’t take asking for money lightly. I know that every donation made is a sacrifice, and I am forever grateful for each and every gift.

I know we have been asking a lot lately, but it would mean so much if you could give $5 to help us restore faith in America.
