Every day the media doubles down on gun violence statistics, courtesy of “non-partisan” and “unbiased” new sources.  GOC has some prime swamp land we’d love to sell anyone who believes reports coming from The Trace or the Gun Violence Archive are truly neutral.  Their data is highly biased, yet it is consistently regurgitated by a willing media because they have an anti-gun axe to grind.  That being said, we have not just one, but two stark examples that highlight this, the first coming from Stephen Gutowski’s The Reload.  He delves into actual mass shooting numbers, stating “Depending on what count you look at, Monday’s attack on a Louisville bank was either the 146th, 15th, or 4th mass shooting of 2023.” This is solid reporting, and we need to take note of the great variance in how such tragedies are reported.

Second, the Kaiser Family Foundation published a recent study that said one in five people in America have had a family member who has been killed by a gun.  Wait, what?  Regardless of its dubious content, the study has been wildly reported in the media.  Check out the two articles below that look at this claim in greater detail.
