Right now, one in five workers are trapped by noncompete agreements set by
their employers.

As President Biden said in the State of the Union, "A cashier at a burger
place can’t walk across town and take the same job at another burger place
and make a few bucks more." Physicians, hair stylists, and others are
affected -- some trapped in hostile work environments.

The Federal Trade Commission (led by progressive Chair Lina Kahn) is
trying to ban noncompete agreements. But powerful corporate interests are
lining up to stop the FTC and keep workers trapped in what the New York
Times calls a "nightmare."

[ [link removed] ]The FTC needs workers and small business owners to enter their
experiences (and supportive comments) in the public-comment record to
counteract corporations who are trying to flood the zone with opposition.
Comments must be entered by Wednesday -- click here now!

Comments in the record are legally helpful as the FTC defends their
decisions in court from right-wing groups and the Chamber of Commerce.
Your comment will make a [ [link removed] ]big difference.

Getting rid of noncompete agreements could increase worker wages by $300
billion and reduce racial and gender wage gaps.

As the American Prospect reports, "When COVID-19 was at its worst, many
doctors wanted to go where they were most needed. Their bosses said no"
and relied on noncompete agreements.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
