Recently, a Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas blocked the FDA's approval of mifepristone – a widely-used abortion drug that's been available for over twenty years. If allowed to stand, this outrageous decision would ban mifepristone even in states like Virginia where abortion remains legal.

It's absurd that a single right-wing judge can ignore years of medical evidence and dictate what medication we can and can't use. His ruling is the latest sign that the GOP intends to keep chipping away at reproductive rights until they've achieved a nationwide abortion ban.

One thing is clear: Congress must restore the right to choose on a federal level, or anti-choice extremists are going to succeed.

For years, Republicans cloaked their opposition to Roe v. Wade as a "state's rights" issue. They were lying.

Since Roe was overturned, they've proposed a 15-week national abortion ban in the U.S. Senate. They've encouraged states with abortion bans to restrict people from traveling to states where the right to choose remains legal. And now, they're weaponizing the court system to eliminate access to abortion medication everywhere.

I'm enraged. And I'm also more motivated than ever to keep fighting. The work ahead won't be easy, but we cannot afford to let up for even one minute – not with the stakes this high.

The only way to restore the rights that we had for nearly five decades is for Congress to act. So I need you to stand with me to amplify our voices.
