Friend, did you hear about the latest update from the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change?

The writing is on the wall: We have to reduce global emissions by 60% of pre-pandemic levels by 2035 to limit warming to 1.5° C and avoid the most extreme impacts of climate change, but we’re way off course.

The IPCC report paints a stark picture of the path ahead of us. Under the current policies of nearly every Paris Agreement signatory nation, including the United States, global temperatures are on track to rise more than 2.8° C.

Here’s the bottomline, friend: To prevent catastrophic heat waves, flooding, and drought, the IPCC report says radical, immediate action is needed.

Will you pitch in $15 or more to our Earth Day Fund to help us fight for the urgent legislation we need to reduce emissions, kickstart the transition from fossil fuels, and make California a leader in the global green revolution?

It’s the support of people like you that gives us the boost we need to lead the fight for that immediate action here in California.

We’re not just another state in the union, friend; California is the fourth largest economy in the world, and when we lead, others follow.

Missing the 2035 emissions deadline won’t just be catastrophic for frontline communities around the world. Here at home, we’ve watched over the last months as record-breaking floods devastate farms and towns across the Golden State.

Scientists say the next seven years will decide the trajectory and effectiveness of climate action for decades to come. That means we have to be in this fight right now, and we need your help.

Last month’s IPCC report doesn’t beat around the bush. The International Energy Agency and scientists around the world are shouting it from the rooftops: We must immediately end new fossil fuel extraction and begin scaling down existing fossil fuel infrastructure to hit the targets of the Paris Climate Agreement.

The solutions exist, and California is coming off a standout year for climate victories due in part to the work of this team of Environmental Voters.

But we can’t do this without you, friend. Your support is what allows us to build on these successes and maintain the momentum this crisis calls for.

We have an opportunity RIGHT NOW to step up and contribute to the fight to save our planet. Can we count on your Earth Day gift of $15 or more to help us pass historic, landmark legislation like our sponsored bill, SB 253, which would represent the strongest corporate emissions disclosure requirement in the nation?

Thank you, friend, for being in the fight for the future alongside us.
