In less than 10 years, San Francisco plans to make at least 80% of all trips low-carbon — that means trips by transit, walking, biking, electric vehicles, and vehicles with three or more people. How do we get there, and how can we help the Earth in the meantime? In honor of Membership Month and SF Climate Week, SFTR is hosting a panel discussion on the importance of public transit in addressing San Francisco's climate goals, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and stopping climate change. We invite you to join San Francisco Transit Riders this Thursday, April 20, for a panel discussion and Q&A with transit and climate leaders from across the city! We will ask panelists about the changes necessary to move towards a greener future in the transportation sector, and some of the challenges that stand in our way.
