If you=E2=80=99ve been reading our emails and attending your local TTP meet=
ing, you know the Texas Legislative Session has been a mixed bag of results=
so far.
The Texas Senate has worked purposefully, moving several priorities through=
committee and out of the chamber in a timely manner.=20
We commend them for listening to the voters like you demanding protection f=
or kids from sexual content, lower property taxes, and a ban on taxpayer-fu=
nded lobbying. The Senate has passed bills on all of these topics (and plen=
ty more!).=20
Unfortunately, the House is up to their same old tricks. They=E2=80=99re mo=
ving slowly and working minimally.=20
Don=E2=80=99t be fooled: Speaker Dade Phelan has the power to whip the Hous=
e into action and pass critical legislation. But he isn=E2=80=99t using tha=
t power.=20
Whenever I hear about a legislator not using their power in an obvious and =
effective way, I ask myself if they=E2=80=99re using their power in a less =
obvious way.=20
The truth is, Speaker Phelan is using his power to silence people like YOU.=
By moving low-priority bills through the House, he is showing us he doesn=
=E2=80=99t care about us.=20
That means we have to turn the heat up!
We already go to the capitol every Tuesday to talk to legislators, testify =
in committee hearings, and observe what=E2=80=99s really going on during fl=
oor debates. If you haven=E2=80=99t joined us yet, plan to come to Austin b=
efore the session ends!
Earlier this session, we saw our actions force the House to take a step in =
the right direction by decreasing the number of democrat chairs.=20
If we want the house to pass bills banning gender modification, lowering pr=
operty tax bills, or finally getting rid of taxpayer funded lobbying, we mu=
st act.=20
That starts with giving time and treasure. Will you chip in $70, $45, or ev=
en $10 today to empower the grassroots to stand up for their values? =20

Whenever I hear about a legislator not using their power in an obvious and =

The truth is, Speaker Phelan is using his power to silence people like YOU.=
By moving low-priority bills through the House, he is showing us he doesn=

We already go to the capitol every Tuesday to talk to legislators, testify =
in committee hearings, and observe what=E2=80=99s really going on during fl=

Earlier this session, we saw our actions force the House to take a step in =

If you’ve been reading our emails and attending your local TTP meeting, you know the Texas Legislative Session has been a mixed bag of results so far.
The Texas Senate has worked purposefully, moving several priorities through committee and out of the chamber in a timely manner.
We commend them for listening to the voters like you demanding protection for kids from sexual content, lower property taxes, and a ban on taxpayer-funded lobbying. The Senate has passed bills on all of these topics (and plenty more!).
