John,
Saturday is Earth Day. Since the Norfolk Southern train derailment, East Palestine, Ohio residents, and the surrounding area have been navigating toxic chemical contamination. The public health response was a mess, leaving families confused and scared.
Food & Water Action is calling attention to the communities impacted by this horrific and completely preventable disaster. They deserve justice, and we must not forget their plight.
We are on the ground, coordinating aid and holding officials accountable. Will you join us by making a gift in honor of Earth Day to power our work – like what we’re doing on the ground in East Palestine? Your gift will be MATCHED $3-to-$1.

The Northern Suffolk catastrophe is the result of bad policies that protect corporate interests over the health and safety of people and our planet. So this Earth Day, we're asking our legislators to prioritize the planet and people over corporate greed.
That’s why we’re fighting to ban vinyl chloride – the highly toxic, cancer-causing chemical burned during the East Palestine train derailment disaster. What’s more, vinyl chloride is used almost exclusively for creating plastics. With the current plastic boom, we can only expect the transport of this toxic chemical through our communities to increase.

Our health can’t be the cost of corporate greed. We need strong protections for our planet and our communities. With your generosity and the power of our movement, we can achieve a safer and healthier Earth for all of us.
Onward together,
