Stanley Cup Playoffs: April 17 to June TBD

The 2021 Population Estimates of the 22 U.S. metros with NHL teams found the largest was New York with 19,768,458 and the smallest was Buffalo with 1,162,336.

National Volunteer Week: April 16-22

The 2021 Volunteering in America Report found 60.7 million adults (23.2 percent) volunteered 4.1 billion hours. Economic value was estimated at $122.9 billion.

National Tax Day: April 18

Q4 2022 combined state and local tax revenues for property, sales and gross receipts, and income taxes increased 2.4% to $502.7 billion from $490.9 billion in Q4 2021.

National Kindergarten Day: April 21

The 2021 Current Population Survey (CPS) found 4.1 million children in kindergarten, an increase of 370,000 in one year.

Community College Month: April

In 2021, the Current Population Survey (CPS) estimated the number of college students enrolled in two-year institutions was 3.5 million, a 2.2 million decrease from 5.7 million in 2011.
