Folks,

I’m fortunate to live in a state that’s taken bold measures to protect abortion rights.

Last year, Michiganders chose to safeguard abortion rights in our state constitution. And this month, Governor Whitmer officially repealed the extreme 1931 law on our state’s books that criminalized abortion providers.

But the reality is much harsher for women in different states. Republican elected officials have signed bills that are prosecuting women for seeking abortion care. In some states, the laws are so extreme that those seeking an abortion could be tried in a court of law under harsher penalties than their abusers.

I’m outraged by what’s happening and refuse to stay silent. That’s why I looked the women of my district in the eyes and promised them that I would return to the House and seek to enshrine their rights into federal law.

The work we’re doing is paying off. The majority of voters want to protect abortion access, and I know we can make abortion rights the law of the land.

I promise that as long as I’m MI-11’s Congresswoman, I won’t stop fighting for your rights. Will you chip in $25 or whatever you can today to defeat anti-choice agendas and protect abortion everywhere?

I’m thankful to have you by my side.
