REGISTER   General Assembly Candidates Government Affairs & Economic Development Committee Meeting Wednesday, April 19 | 9:00-10:00 a.m. | Virtual On Wednesday April 19, the Government Affairs and Economic Development Committee will welcome candidates for Senate District 40, incumbent Barbara Favola and candidate James DeVita.  The Government Affairs & Economic Development Committee is open to all Chamber members. If you are interested in attending this meeting please contact Elizabeth Addington at [email protected].   School Board Candidates at Education and Workforce Committee Meeting Tuesday, April 25 | 3:00-4:00 p.m. | Virtual The Education and Workforce Committee will be hosting a candidate forum for the School Board at their upcoming meeting on Tuesday, April 25.. Both candidates for the open School Board seat, Miranda Turner and Angelo Cocchiaro, will be joining the Committee, answering questions from both the Committee Chair Dr. Liza Durant and from members. Both candidates are running in the Democratic caucus, which will be held from May 7 to May 13 to select the candidate that will be on the general election ballot on November 7. All members of the Chamber are welcome to join this committee meeting. This year’s featured speakers specialize in leading transformational change within organizations and communities. The Leadership Summit is also an opportunity to celebrate the culmination of the Classes of 2023 for Leadership Arlington, Leadership Alexandria, and Ignite Young Professionals.
