Details on Our Conversation

TPL Community Strategies lead Cary Simmons will moderate a
conversation with three inspiring individuals who have answered the
call to make their communities happier, healthier, and more resilient
by leveraging parks and green space.

Speakers:

*Equipo Verde volunteer Sonia Rodriguez turned a dangerous,
polluted alleyway into her community's source of
pride.
*Mantua Civic Association President De'Wayne
Drummond leverages West Philly's 37th and Mt. Vernon Playground
for food and voter drives and informing residents about neighborhood
issues.
*Parque Padrinos Co-Founder Teresa Bendito fights for park
access as well as immigrant rights in her community of Wenatchee,
Washington.

We'll also share data highlighting how parks become a catalyst
for transformational, community-wide change.

We hope to see you there!

TPL turns 50

In 2023, we reflect on and celebrate our first 50 years of impact, and
we look ahead at the work still to be done. From protecting vast
stretches of wide-open spaces to revamping schoolyards, trails, and
parks, we strive for equity, inclusion, and access for everyone.
