BREAKING: Switching to phthalate- and paraben-free cosmetics could reduce your risk of breast cancer

Should the FDA ban phthalates and parabens from personal care products?

This is urgent, friend.

A new study has found that switching to phthalate- and paraben-free cosmetics may reduce your risk of breast cancer.

Phthalates and parabens are commonly used in personal care products like shampoo and deodorant. According to EWG’s Skin Deep® cosmetics database, more than 2,500 products may contain parabens. Once these chemicals are absorbed through the skin they mimic estrogen, high levels of which are a major risk factor for breast cancer.

Here’s the good news: Researchers have found that switching to paraben- and phthalate-free products can actually reverse pro-cancer-associated cell behavior. But the FDA still won’t take action to ban these dangerous chemicals. That’s why EWG’s work is so important – we’re here to help you avoid these chemicals and push for industry change. Can we count on you to stand with us?

Complete our quick survey by midnight tonight to help EWG push the FDA to finally ban cancer-linked phthalates and parabens from personal care products.
