Fellow Conservative,

Last night, the U.S. Senate voted to not subpoena witnesses in the impeachment trial of President Trump.

This is a vote that moves us one step closer to ending Adam Schiff’s impeachment sham, and it’s a step that moves the Senate one step closer to returning to the business of the American people.

We want a Congress focused on securing the border, balancing the budget, and confirming constitutionalist judges.
Sentinels tell Senate: #TimeToAcquit
As the Trump defense concluded their arguments on Tuesday, Heritage Action led thousands of Sentinel activists in calling on the Senate to acquit President Trump. Thousands of Tweets were directed to Senators, telling them that it’s #TimeToAcquit. <[link removed]>

Thank you to everyone who answered the call to action and made their voice heard on Capitol Hill. As evidenced by the Senate’s vote last night, when we join our voices together, we are heard!
USMCA Trade Deal
On Wednesday, President Trump followed through on a major campaign promise and signed the USMCA Trade Deal, ensuring that the United States will remain the leader of free trade for years to come.

USMCA will strengthen free trade with our North American neighbors while ensuring a level playing field, particularly by updating intellectual property and digital trade rules, opening up more trade for U.S. agriculture, and keeping tariff-free treatment for scores of products.

Heritage Action pushed for passage of USMCA <[link removed]> and held a special fly-in lobby day with activists on behalf of the trade deal. Our activists met with scores of lawmakers and shared with them the benefits USMCA would have for working Americans. We applaud President Trump for signing this historic trade deal.
"Public Charge" Immigration Rule
In August, the Trump Administration announced its enforcement of longstanding immigration law, by implementing it’s so-called “public charge” rule <[link removed]> to ensure immigrants coming to America contribute to our society and do not become a burden on social services.

The Administration made this rule after Heritage Action released polling <[link removed]> finding that Americans believe overuse of social services to be the biggest challenged posed by illegal immigration.
However, in October, an activist judges in New York issued a nationwide injunction preventing Trump’s “public charge” rule from going into effect. But victory for conservatives came this week when the Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision, lifted the injunction.

This policy fight perfectly illustrates the impact that grassroots activism can have in this country.

It was conservative grassroots activists who:

- Made illegal immigration the “number 1” issue.
- Led the fight to confirm Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, who provided the deciding votes in overturning the national injunction.
Conservative Activists are Winning!
This was a great week! Conservatives won on so many fronts. The time and energy we all invest does pay dividends.

Thank you for your support. Thank you for standing up for conservative policy. Have a great weekend!
