Rhetoric, or the ability to discern the available means of persuasion in a given case, can be an aid to abundance. If people don’t know how to talk to certain people or groups, especially those who differ from themselves, they miss out on social moments, good conversations and professional or personal connections. But rhetorical skill can help people acquire an abundance of social capital, an abundance of opportunities that arise upon meeting new people, an abundance of new interests and insights. Rhetoric creates more opportunities to experience abundance and can thus be a helpful tool in bringing about an abundance agenda.
