The NAFCU Advocacy Team remains active on Capitol Hill and with regulators this week, ensuring credit union voices are heard on several important issues.
NAFCU and several other trade groups sent a letter to the House Financial Services Committee warning of “the increasing threat credit repair scams pose to consumers and the credit markets.” The groups asked lawmakers to modernize the Credit Repair Organizations Act to ensure effective consumer protections.
The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) issued a request for comment Friday as it begins a regulatory review. The agency is seeking feedback on how its regulations could be more effective and less burdensome.
