John,
Good evening and welcome to our Weekend
Update.
This week, I joined “Mornings with Maria”
on Fox Business to discuss the economy and the issues
Americans face due to Biden’s big government policy agenda.
Unfortunately, the Biden Administration is engaged in every
anti-growth regulation they can imagine. This White House has no plan
moving forward to rein in spending or implement serious economic
reform to help curb long-term inflation. Click
here or below to watch my interview.
House Republicans are keeping their
Commitment to America. As we highlighted, recently the House passed HR
1, which will increase domestic energy production, reduce regulatory
burdens, and reform permitting across all sectors of the economy. The
bill will unleash American energy, curb inflation, and create hundreds
of thousands of jobs. I joined Newsmax's "National Report" to discuss
how we can bring American energy production back to help reduce energy
costs and increase our national security. Click

Pennsylvania plays a prominent role in
powering our country. I was joined by Congressman Troy Nehls of Texas
for a roundtable discussion and tour of the Energy Transfer facility
in Marcus Hook, to see how they are involved in the safe and clean
production, processing and transferring products of natural gas
liquids (NGLs) to the U.S. energy sector and the global marketplace.

affairs, Energy Transfer; Ed Human, senior director of industrial
complex operations for Marcus Hook, Congressman Troy Nehls and Jon
Hunt, senior vice president of terminal operations for Energy
Transfer)
Additionally, WOLF Fox 56 highlighted the
legislation I am sponsoring to attract commercial flights to
Williamsport Regional Airport & other regional airports across the
country. Two bills I recently introduced will help expand access to
air travel to millions of people living in rural America and reduce
congestion at major airports. Click

This week, I joined the Open Discourse
Coalition at Bucknell University. The Open Discourse Coalition is an
important forum for... open discourse. They have some great leaders,
staff, and members. I am happy to be associated with what is becoming
more important than ever on the college campus; maintaining dialogues,
discourse, and freedom alive and well. I want to thank Coach Pat
Flannery and Open Discourse Coalition President Charles Mitchell for
inviting me to attend the forum. Jennifer Yuengling, Sr. Vice
President of Operations at Yuengling Breweries was the featured
speaker and gave a very informative and inspiring talk to the large
group attending. Click

does at Yuengling Breweries from Bucknell Magazine.
Additionally, we stopped in at Siberline
Manufacturing Co., in Tamaqua to meet with our great friends Lisa
Scheller, the CEO of Silberline, and Maria Montero. Siberline
makes a key ingredient in paints and coatings that’s sent to 87
different countries – it is the only woman-owned business of its type
in the world. It is an incredible facility.
Today, I attended the Lackawanna County
GOP Luncheon. There is great energy amongst grassroots Republicans as
we look to win important elections in 2023 and 2024. While there is a
great deal of attention on the presidential election next year, and
rightfully so, we must focus on winning our statewide judicial and
local elections this year. The Republican Party endorsed Supreme Court
candidate Judge Carolyn Carlucci and Commonwealth Court endorsed
candidate Megan Martin both attended and each gave outstanding
speeches covering their qualifications and their winning strategies. I
want to thank Lackawanna GOP Chair Dan Naylor and his team for the
great work they are doing to build the party. (Pictured below

an exceptional businessman, statewide leader and host of the Volpe
Report)
IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE
MAINSTREAM MEDIA: We have soaring inflation and a raging
border crisis – both of which Biden fueled.
But what’s Biden’s “solution” to these crises?
Over the next three years, the IRS is set
to hire 30,000
more agents. That’s larger than the entire current
number of Border Patrol agents.
House Ways and Means Committee Chairman
Jason Smith – whose committee oversees the IRS – explained that based
on what Biden administration officials
have said, this IRS expansion means 710,000
new audits of people making less than $75,000 per year.
By the Biden administration’s OWN
WORDS, his 87,000 IRS agents mean 710,000 new audits of people making
less than $75,000 per year.
Rather than work to implement a
policy agenda that grows our economy by lowering taxes, eliminating
unnecessary and burdensome regulations, securing our border, and
making our country energy independent, the Biden administration is
instead focused on collecting even more tax dollars from those who can
least afford it. It’s sad and backward logic, and the only winner is
big government.
We look forward to catching up with you next week. God Bless, and
see you soon,
Dan
