John, I want to check in with you.

The American people recognize the importance of good leadership and legislation. But currently, the House has been in the headlines for the wrong reasons. My Republican colleagues continue to put on a show to impress Donald Trump while failing to meet the moment for the American people.

Americans continue to face relentless attacks on bodily autonomy and personal freedoms while experiencing one of the worst years of gun violence in a decade. Meanwhile, Jim Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Co. are entirely focused on earning political brownie points with Trump and his extremist base.

Since before the January 6 attack on the Capitol, Republicans decided to abandon their responsibilities and use their energy and resources to protect their demagogue-in-chief. Trump is under investigation for legitimate crimes, and we need to let the justice system do its job. Meanwhile, we should be passing bills to help our constituents.

John, I'll be frank — I'm fed up. Jordan, McCarthy, and the like shouldn't be in office, let alone in CHARGE. I am counting on your support to take back the House majority so we can get the gavel out of Kevin McCarthy's hands.
