INVESTING IN AGRICULTURE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Continued investment in agricultural research and development is vital to the success of our families, farmers, and main streets.
My ACE Agriculture Act with Representative Jimmy Panetta increases funding for agricultural research and development so that we can continue to stay competitive on the world stage and boost our economy.
This bill will help lower input costs for our farmers and accelerate ag innovation right here in the 4th District.

MY TOWN HALL WITH SENATOR ERNST IN AUDUBON
This week, Senator Joni Ernst and I hosted a town hall in Audubon with local farmers about the upcoming Farm Bill.
We covered the Conservation Reserve Program, foreign animal disease, WOTUS, and year-round E-15. I look forward to continuing to bring voices from the 4th District to Washington so that we can make positive impacts.

PRESIDENT BIDEN'S WOTUS RULE IS BLOCKED IN MULTIPLE STATES
President Biden’s expansive WOTUS rule is federal overreach at its worst.
That’s why House Republicans voted to overturn this harmful policy and protect American farmers and producers who put food on our tables and power our economy. I'm glad to see states pushing back on this disastrous policy and standing up for rural America.

WOTUS rule now blocked in 26 states
The Biden administration's rule defining "waters of the U.S." is no longer in effect in more than half the country as the result of a district court injunction issued Wednesday. Twenty-four states "have persuasively shown that the new 2023 Rule...

WRAPPING UP THE WEEK AT MOLLY&YOU IN SAC CITY
I wrapped up my 36 County Tour this week visiting molly&you — a women-owned small business — in Sac City.
I enjoyed speaking with them, learning more about their business, and listening to the issues that they are currently facing. Just like I’ve heard from countless other main street businesses, inflation and supply chain pinch-points are real challenges.
House Republicans are committed to helping ease the burden our families and businesses are feeling and I will continue to work to make sure our communities have the tools to be successful.

MY WEEKLY COLUMN: PRESIDENT BIDEN PICKS WINNERS AND LOSERS IN OUR FREE-MARKET ECONOMY – AGAIN
President Biden’s new electric vehicle proposal is a classic example of picking winners and losers in our free-market economy.
Sadly, the winners are coastal elites and Green New Deal activists while the losers – as is the case with all his policies – are American families, farmers, and small businesses who will foot the bill for this taxpayer-funded giveaway through higher taxes.
If President Biden truly cares about reducing emissions, he must embrace biofuels and their many benefits for our economy, our families, and our environment.
