Dear Georgian,

Last week we celebrated National Pecan Day! Georgia is the largest pecan producing state in the United States, which in turn is the world’s largest pecan exporter.

After years of bipartisan work along with Representatives Sanford Bishop and David Scott, we were happy to see India’s announcement to reduce tariffs on U.S. pecan exports by 70% earlier this year.

Georgia’s delegation will continue to advocate for our pecan growers and work to improve export markets for our agriculture industry as a whole.

As always, my staff and I are here to help. If you need assistance with a federal agency or have comments or concerns to share with me, please do not hesitate to call my Warner Robins, Tifton, or Washington, D.C. offices. To receive frequent updates, I encourage you to visit my website, like my Facebook page, follow me on YouTube, and follow me on Twitter.

Sincerely,
