It’s vital that we continue the transition to zero-emission vehicles that will clean up our air and help protect us from the climate crisis at every opportunity available.

John,

The Environmental Protection Agency just unveiled new proposals that will completely rev up our electric vehicle growth in the United States.

The proposals are aimed at restricting CO2 limits to promote EV usage for personal and heavy-duty vehicles effectively. It is projected this would spur two-thirds of all light-duty vehicle sales to be electric within the next decade and potentially reduce 10 billion tons of CO2 emissions. To put that in context, that is twice the U.S.’s total annual emissions for the entire economy.

EPA’s proposal includes three alternatives for this rule, of different levels of ambition. With climate change right at our doorstep, we must take advantage of every opportunity to make massive transformational changes. Will you join us in calling on the EPA to finalize the strongest possible rule with the most ambitious targets?

We all know electric vehicles are key to reaching our nation’s carbon emissions goals. We must continue the transition to zero-emission vehicles that will clean up our air and help protect us from the climate crisis at every opportunity available. This is why the EPA’s proposals are so critical — and why we can’t hesitate to take the most aggressive plan possible.

That’s why SEEC Co-Chair Doris Matsui and SEEC Member Yvette Clarke led 54 of their colleagues calling on EPA to go as big as possible when developing these rules. It’s because of SEEC leaders like Reps. Matsui and Clarke that the EPA knows it has the support it needs to finalize strong regulations.

But now the EPA needs to hear from voices like yours that the public supports ambitious vehicle standards as well. Will you add your name in support to show you’re all-in for electric vehicles?

Thanks for making a sustainable future possible.
