John, today is the 100th day of Kevin McCarthy’s tenure as Speaker of the House.

So I wanted to recap some of his "accomplishments":

→ MAGA Republicans like Marjorie Taylor Greene HECKLED our President at the State of the Union, and McCarthy rewarded them by raising $12 MILLION the very next day.

→ They threatened to hold our economy hostage unless we CUT Social Security and Medicare (we REFUSED).

→ They cozied up to the disgraced former President and launched bogus investigations against our Democrats.

John, I think you’ll agree: McCarthy’s first 100 days as Speaker have been one disaster after another. He’s made it as clear as possible that he’s chosen the side of extremists. And it’s our job to hold him accountable. That’s why I’m marshaling a truly HISTORIC response – 10,000 Memberships before midnight – to RUIN McCarthy’s big day, outraise MAGA Republicans, and send a message to McCarthy and Trump’s cronies tomorrow morning: Your time in power is nearly OVER. Here’s the truth, John.

Today should technically be McCarthy’s 103rd day as Speaker.

But it took him an unprecedented THREE DAYS of caving to right-wing demands in order to get enough votes – on the 15TH try!

I’m proud to have never lost a vote for Speaker and to have focused my first 100 days as Speaker governing For the People.

In the first 100 days of the last term, Democrats:

– Passed critical COVID relief that got shots in arms, put money in people’s pockets and saved the economy.
– Strengthened Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.
– Reversed DISASTROUS Trump-era policies on the environment, immigration, and civil rights.

The same can’t be said for Kevin McCarthy. He’s spent his first 100 days as Speaker cozying up to the most radical members of his own party, including making Marjorie Taylor Greene Speaker pro tempore (!!!). It makes me livid just thinking about it. John, I wouldn’t ask unless it mattered: We have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to RUIN McCarthy’s big milestone and make a STATEMENT that grassroots Democrats will hold him and Republicans accountable.
