'I am talking about police officers, firefighters, nurses, teachers, and small businesses owners who are being double taxed on money that was never available to them.' Republican co-sponsors of Garbarino’s bill include Reps. Anthony D’Esposito, Nick LaLota, Mike Lawler and Marc Molinaro of New York; Christopher H. Smith and Thomas H. Andrew Urges EU To Designate IRGC As A Terrorist Organization Andrew joined with over 130 of his bipartisan colleagues in sending a letter to EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell urging the European Union to follow the lead of the United States in designating Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. Iran’s continued actions in support of terrorism threaten the national security of the U.S. and our allies. The IRGC must be held accountable. The members wrote in part, “Iran remains a leading state sponsor of terror. For decades, the IRGC has freely and openly carried out plots targeting citizens in countries across the EU…We believe that there is an abundance of evidence available to the EU to provide the necessary basis for a terror designation of the IRGC, particularly given the European Court of Justice’s ruling that investigations and prosecutions outside of the EU may be used as evidence to support additions to the terror list.” Thanks for reading!
