Small businesses and locally owned farms can and should be a driving force for good-paying jobs in small-town America. Help me get to Congress so I can stand up to wealthy corporations, make them pay their fair share, and fight for everyday citizens.
Prosperity for workers moves the economy better than windfalls for wealthy corporations
Rural workers of Northern Michigan and the UP know it well — the success of Wall Street means little if life for the working class is unaffordable. I need your help advocating for a more balanced, trickle-up approach to the economy. Contribute now so I can help everyday Americans thrive.

If our local companies are replaced with national and international large corporations, support for our communities is sacrificed. Northern Michigan's vitality depends on our friends and neighbors owning businesses that provide livable wages and community support. Our current GOP Representative votes against tax breaks for everyday, hardworking families but for windfalls for wealthy corporations. Tax reform is critical, and we must have representation in Congress by someone who understands that importance. It's time for ultra-rich corporations to pay their fair share. "Just as enough tiny droplets of water slowly fill a bucket, the growth of small businesses fills the U.S. economy. Wealthy corporations might get a lot of attention when creating jobs, but small businesses employ more people and are more resilient when times get tough. "Before coming up with something innovative that propelled them into growth, all big businesses once started small." - Martin Rowinski, Forbes Business Council Small businesses of 500 employees or fewer make up 99.9% of all U.S. businesses and 99.7% of firms with paid employees. Locally owned and operated businesses provide jobs to support our communities better than the uber-rich corporate American billionaires supported by Rep. Jack Bergman. Unlike wealthy corporations who focus their 'giving' on their own PR benefit, even small business philanthropy is more local and impactful. Neighbors and friends know their community better and invest in its prosperity. Not only do small businesses provide more jobs, they also bring careers and opportunities. Successful small businesses put money back into their local community, which can support the creation of new small businesses and improve local public services. A contribution from you today, whatever you can afford, can go a long way in fueling our people-powered, grassroots movement to enact systemic change. Can you chip in and help me advocate for small businesses, local farms, and a robust middle class?
