Everyone deserves the freedom to make their own decisions about their bodies. Everyone. But unfortunately, our access to reproductive healthcare is being attacked. Every. Single. Day. If you already know what's at stake, will you pitch in now before our midnight mid-month fundraising deadline to keep up the fight for reproductive rights? >>> Abortion is no longer considered a federally guaranteed right, and as a result, extremist Republicans in state legislatures and federal courts have been attempting to eliminate – even criminalize – abortion access everywhere. Most recently, a Trump-appointed Federal Judge ruled to force manufacturers to pull mifepristone – the first of a two pill regimen for medicated abortions – nationwide. And, Idaho's governor just signed into law a bill to prevent minors from leaving the state to access abortion care. Idaho now joins other conservative states, like Texas, that have enacted criminal consequences for seeking or aiding someone in obtaining abortion care. Restrictive policies and court rulings have already had an impact on health. Providers have observed an up to 40% increase in maternal mortality rates in certain states. This is simply unacceptable. The way forward is to codify abortion access in Congress, and to do that we need to win back our Democratic House majority.
