Hello, Friends —

While Congress was out of session this week, I took the chance to prioritize what truly matters: connecting with those who entrusted me with their voices. This week in Florida's First District, I paid a visit to the critical military installations that help safeguard our nation's interests and engaged with local community organizations that are vital to our area's growth and well-being. This opportunity allowed me to gain an even deeper insight into Florida's military operations and the pressing concerns of all Northwest Floridians.

Moreover, I had the opportunity to make my voice heard through various media platforms. I tackled some of the pressing issues Congress and our nation are facing. During these appearances, I argued for the inclusion of work requirements for social safety-net programs in the federal budget and called attention to the worrisome trend of overmedicating American adolescents, which may be fueling the surge in violent behavior.

All in all, it was an enriching week filled with productive engagements and constructive dialogues. As Congress is back in session next week, I will carry these invaluable insights and experiences with me, and remain committed to serving the people of Florida's First District with dedication and passion.

AROUND THE DISTRICT

CONGRESSMAN GAETZ VISITS SPECIAL OPERATION WING AT DUKE AIRFIELD

Image

I had the pleasure of visiting the 919th Special Operations Wing at Duke Field on Friday. It was my honor to get the chance to witness our service members' capabilities and what they bring to bear in defense of our country. My duty is to ensure our brave men and women in uniform are receiving the support and resources they need for the defense of our country. Our military bases located in Northwest Florida are truly an asset to our country and a source of pride for our district.

REP. GAETZ MEETS WITH CHOCTAWHATCHEE BASIN ALLIANCE

Image

On Friday, I met with the leadership of the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance (CBA) and discussed the water quality of the Choctawhatchee Bay and how to improve our environmental-monitoring programs. Having grown up on the bay, I am committed to supporting the CBA in its performance of rigorous water quality testing, shoreline restoration, education programs and research.

Ensuring that potential contributing sources don't negatively impact our water quality and quality of life is extremely important to me. I take pride in working with state and local officials to hold accountable those that neglect their responsibilities in preventing degradation of our water quality.

REP. GAETZ GOES ON STEVE BANNON'S WAR ROOM!

On Wednesday, I sat down with Steve Bannon on an episode of War Room to discuss a possible link between mass shootings and Big Pharma, my call to enact work requirements for social safety-net programs, and more!

In the past, we diagnosed and treated the mental health of young Americans with care, providing an array of different programs and natural remedies. Now, our answer to youth mental health problems is to get them hooked onto Big Pharma's array of harsh psychiatric drugs. The phrase "follow the money" couldn't be more valid when evaluating Big Pharma's effect on Americans' mental health as both Republican and Democratic representatives in Washington, D.C., are in bed with Big Pharma's lobbyists. I won't ignore the fact that the largest pill mill in the world today is located in the school nurse's office, and I won't stop pushing for us as a country to examine how the overprescription of a cascade of psychiatric drugs to young Americans may be causing them to turn violent.

Additionally, we discussed my call for work requirements for social safety-net programs, which would reduce our nation's debt by trillions of dollars. The Left has created their own false narrative regarding the introduction of work requirements and have labeled my strategy of reducing our national debt as "cruel." What's actually cruel is multi-generational dependence on government programs for the essentials of life. Men and women who are able-bodied, childless adults should not have the American taxpayer funding their healthcare and transportation. Democrats love the cycle of endless government dependence because it gives them power. I refuse to remain silent and watch hard working Americans suffer because of those who choose not to contribute to our country.

FIREBRAND EP. 97: LEFTIST VIOLENCE IS OUT OF CONTROL

Image

On Monday, I spoke about the rising trend of leftist violence in America during an episode of Firebrand. The radical Left should not be allowed to terrorize regular Americans. A mass shooting at a bank in Louisville, a shooting at a Nashville elementary school, and even a threat against my own life have shown that those who follow violent wokeism become radicalized. We must act; mourning the loss of innocent lives and ignoring extremists will only lead to more deaths of innocent Americans.

Democrats attribute the problem of violence to guns, but I won't let them sway my beliefs. While firearms are frequently blamed for tragic mass shootings, mental illness is actually to blame. Fifty years ago, it was possible to order guns from catalogs. Now, despite stricter gun laws, mass shootings have become more frequent. Democrats and Big Pharma are working together to breed extremists that are fed hormones for gender transitions and desensitizing psychiatric drugs. We must look at how these drugs are altering the psyche of Americans in ways that are causing them to lash out with violence.

CONGRESSMAN GAETZ ON NEWSMAX: "NEW YORK IS RUN BY CRIMINALS"

Image

Criminals gaining control of the streets of New York didn't happen by accident. I joined Newsmax on Monday to discuss the reprehensible policy choices that have turned New York City into a circus.

Soros-funded Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has embraced policies that put criminals over law enforcement and law abiding citizens. As Bragg continues his witch hunt against President Trump, the people of New York City are fleeing in droves because of his lack of prosecutory initiative. The victim class is growing out of control as woke Democrats excuse criminals in order to virtue signal to one another and push their own corrupt agenda.

It's ironic Bragg and his weaponized agency are pursuing a former President over a business dispute. The disputes they should actually about are those that end in bloodshed on a weekly basis in their city streets and metro stations.

Gaetz shares death threat, warns Dems dangerously ‘riling nutty shock troops’ amid growing mental health crisis

"'So the Democrats are purposefully riling up their nutty shock troops in hopes that they will terrorize normal Americans into submission. Rand Paul was assaulted by his riled-up neighbor. A congressional baseball practice was shot up by a riled-up Bernie bro,' Gaetz accurately noted."

Even the Washington Post Isn’t Buying Biden Blaming Trump for Afghanistan Debacle

"In June 2021, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) questioned Gen. Mark Milley, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at a Congressional hearing about an ongoing effort to saddle U.S. military personnel with mandatory readings and briefings on the topic of Critical Race Theory."

Rep. Matt Gaetz Blames Big Pharma for Mass Shootings by Unhinged Leftists

"For Gaetz, the fact that 'we are the most drugged-up generation in all of human history' is enough cause for concern. But making matters worst, he said, 'these drugs are being handed out like candy, not behind some Walmart, or on some street corner, but by Big Pharma.'”
