Dear John,

This week was less busy than normal due to the Easter and Passover holidays,
but I’ve still been working to fight for our conservative values.

I’m relieved and pleased to share that the town of Raymond is nearly back to
normal after the train derailment on March 30, as the cleanup is proceeding at
a fast pace. Thanks again to the first responders who took the necessary
precautions to ensure that no one was hurt and there was no significant damage
to property.

With the 2018 Farm Bill set to expire in September, my team and I have been in
close contact with local stakeholders to shape the next iteration of the bill.
We've convened two agricultural advisory committees in the northern and
southern parts of our district to gather input from local farmers,
agribusinesses, and agriculturally adjacent industries. Congress needs to
ensure disaster programs remain transparent and consistent, protect critical
risk management tools, including crop insurance, and reform the existing H2A
visa program to enhance reliability and cost-effectiveness. I look forward to
continuing discussions, gathering input, and developing a bill that will
deliver for America's farmers.

Budget talks will pick up as we head back to Washington next week. As a member
of the Budget Committee, I am seeing firsthand the ramifications of Biden's
out-of-control spending on inflation rates and our nation's debt crisis. House
Republicans are working on a plan to put a stop to frivolous spending and get
our financial house in order because continuing down the path Biden has us on
is not an option.

As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with.
Thank you for your continued support!

With gratitude,
