Mifepristone is a safe, effective medication that has been on the market for decades in order to provide abortion care and treat miscarriages. But last Friday, a Trump-appointed judge moved to block the FDA approval, which has been in place for 23 years. It was a purely political decision, rooted in anti-abortion extremism, and if it stands, it will have deadly consequences.
There's been a lot of back and forth since then, but one thing is for sure: Radical Republicans will do anything they can to strip millions of people of their reproductive rights and ban abortion nationwide. So we need to fight back just as hard — and we can start by passing the Women's Health Protection Act.
