[ [link removed] ]Katie Porter for Senate

Tax Day is April 18th, and this year, the IRS has the resources to go
after ultra-wealthy tax cheats—thanks to legislation Katie pushed for.

Before this bill was passed, the IRS estimated that we lost $1 trillion a
year because of tax evasion from large corporations and some of the very
wealthiest individuals.

Now House Republicans are trying to rescind this much-needed IRS funding,
but the only group who benefits from an under-funded IRS are big
corporations and billionaires who evade taxes. When they avoid taxes,
working people are left to pick up the slack, and the Republican bill
would add $114 billion(!) to the deficit over ten years.

There’s still so much work to do to improve our tax system: to make sure
billionaires pay their fair share, to hold corporations accountable, and
to make filing your taxes free and simple. Katie will always be a voice
for working people, not special interests. [ [link removed] ]Can you chip in
