Chicago is going to host the 2024 Democratic National Convention!

I am beyond excited that President Biden and the party chose Chicago to host such an important event.

Outside of the economic opportunity this will bring to local hotels and restaurants, we'll have a chance to show off my beautiful city!

Born and raised in Humboldt Park, I'm glad to come from a city that prioritizes progressive values: fighting for members of the LGTBQ+ community, standing up for our working families, and protecting our reproductive rights.

Chicago has so much to offer, from our values to our favorite places to visit and eat!

That's exactly why I wanted to hear from you, John: What places do I have to show my colleagues while they're in town?

Delia Ramirez has dedicated her life and career to advocating for working families. She is an outstanding community leader with experience as CEO of community organizations and has created countless alliances in our communities. As the daughter of Guatemalan immigrants, Delia's values are rooted in effort and service to others.

As the founder and former director of the Center for Changing Lives, chair of the executive board for the Latin United Community Housing Association (LUCHA) and the Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA), Delia has worked for solutions to many complex problems such as affordable housing, education, and criminal justice.

In 2018, Delia ran for and was elected to the House of Representatives in Illinois' 4th District. Since then, she has passed legislation expanding affordable housing, Medicaid coverage for seniors regardless of immigration status, and creating a Chicago school board. Now, she is part of the Democratic majority leadership team in the House.

Delia fights every day to break the social obstacles that she and many women face. Her passion is to guide and empower women to achieve leadership opportunities in all sectors.
