Last week, I visited with staff and teachers from New College in Florida — a school Ron DeSantis is attempting to transform from a public honors college into a Christian conservative school, much to the near universal dismay of everyone who learns and works there.

Please watch this short video from my visit. It’s a good look at what authoritarian leaders like DeSantis are trying to do in taking over universities to instill their version of ideological rigidity.

Thanks for watching. It’s important for the students and faculty at New College and other places like it to know they are not alone. They matter. And that people everywhere are watching as leaders like DeSantis roll back rights, limit speech and take away freedoms.
