Our window of opportunity is closing in Iowa.

Here’s where we stand.

Over the last several months, we’ve secured sponsors to file the COS Resolution in both the House and Senate — enabling both legislative bodies to hear our Resolution simultaneously, expediting the road to passage.

In the Senate, we secured victory in the State Government subcommittee and then again in the full committee. In the House, we passed the House State Government subcommittee and then again in the full committee.

Now all that stands between Iowa and final passage is floor votes in the House and Senate.

Two votes. That’s all we need. Then Iowa becomes the 20th state to join the call for a Convention of States to rein in the fed’s tyrannical abuse of power.

It’s time to double-down and finish what we started in Iowa.

Iowa has a large population of freshmen legislators who are not familiar with the COS Resolution.

That means it’s essential that we ensure that they understand the Article V process, the responsibility entrusted to them by the Founding Fathers, and public support for this urgent measure.

Mark Meckler, Mike Farris, and Rick Santorum have made several visits to the state to hold one-on-one meetings with key legislators and have had great success in securing support.

But we’re not quite there yet. We’re still a few legislators short of having the votes needed for passage.

It’s time to unleash the power of the grassroots to seal the deal and send a clear message to these legislators — We the People MUST hold the federal government accountable and rein in their runaway power… for once and for all.

In Iowa, we’re utilizing strategic radio ads, yard signs, and social media ads to generate a steady stream of phone calls and signed petitions to key legislators, demonstrating the STRONG support in favor of calling a Convention of States.
