John, I’m humbly asking: can I convince you to chip in ahead of tonight’s mid-month fundraising deadline for our campaign?

I’ll be honest — with Senate FEC reports going public today, extreme right-wing donors who are already pouring money into TV attack ads in Ohio, West Virginia, and Montana will be ready to invest even more in at least half a dozen battleground states.

Republicans need to flip just two seats to retake the Senate majority — and with the GOP already in control of the House, that’s not a possibility I want to consider.

I’m working every day in the Senate to protect Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, while continuing the important progress of the last two years on so many pressing issues.

But I can’t do that work alone. It’s going to take a team effort — one that you’re a part of, John — to defend our Senate majority once again.

So I’m humbly asking you again, John:
