Hey, folks.I think we can all agree that some of the best conversations take place over coffee, especially at friendly local places like the one I’m visiting here, Brewpoint Coffee in Elmhurst. ☕

Back in 2018, I flipped this district blue for the first time in nearly 50 years in part by spending time out in communities and chatting with voters across IL-06 in coffee shops just like this one.

That campaign taught me one of the most valuable lessons of my career: The big things might divide us, but it’s the little things that bring us back together. You won’t meet many people who’ll say no to a hot cup of tea or coffee on a chilly day.

And once we’ve found common ground on the small stuff, we can figure out a way to build bridges on the big stuff. After all, the climate crisis, gun violence, and healthcare costs affect all of us, regardless of party affiliation.

MAGA extremists, though, don’t want good-faith debate and respectful discussion.

They want more division, more vitriol, more fear. That’s why they spend their time fanning the flames of hate, plotting revenge against their opponents, and using intimidation tactics to drive decent folks away from the political process.

We’re going to get nowhere fast if we let them remain in power. So I’m asking: Will you chip in $25 to help me push back the destructive MAGA agenda before it’s too late?
