The Allegheny County executive is one of the most influential offices in Pennsylvania. This year, the position is up for grabs as longtime Executive Rich Fitzgerald terms out of office. Voters will select a new county executive for the first time since 2011. On April 18, NEXTpittsburgh and PublicSource will host a town-hall debate among the candidates, and you can watch it via livestream on Facebook or on our website. Moderators will ask questions on a range of topics including public health, property taxes, public safety, affordable housing and more.
