Montana Republicans are trying to SABOTAGE Jon Tester’s re-election campaign!
Under the proposed legislation, the current primary would be replaced by a “jungle” primary in which all candidates, regardless of party, run in the same primary. The top two vote-getters would advance to the general election.
Republicans know this change will keep third-party candidates off the ballot and give them better odds against Tester in the general election.
Make no mistake: This is a blatant power grab by Montana Republicans. This law would only apply to the 2024 Senate race!
We need to unite to defend Tester. If Republicans flip Montana’s Senate seat, they’re nearly GUARANTEED to take over the Senate.
